Breathe with Awareness

  • Post Author:

Karm, action is not something external alone. It also involves consistently working on the inner self. The most important aspect of internal karm is to synchronize breathing with awareness. Awareness of every aspect of life, what is happening around us and in the world. Only then both the planes -- worldly and spiritual -- can be balanced. Right breathing technique involves aligning the breath with constant sumiran, remembrance, and through it, connecting with the Supreme energy that is omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient. The cyclical waves of inhaling and exhaling are the medium to transmit thoughts into the Universe. It is common knowledge that when a truthful sankalp resolve, is sent forth, the whole universe conspires to fulfil it. If we are not aware of our thoughts, we often transmit things that are according to mind’s tuning, which is a product of our environment and thinking patterns. We must be aware…

THE FORM OF SACCHIDANAND

  • Post Author:

Human wants to know what the form of Supreme is. It is only the ananda of the enlightened, truthful soul -- satt chitt. It can be known through truth alone, and that too, through your own truth. Yes, it can be recognised through certain signs and symptoms, such as: One who always shows the path to be truthfulOne who always inspires for growthWho is absolute positivityWho points towards poornta, absolutenessWho does not restrict you through any worldly ties or weightsOne who is firm with a ‘one-point determination’Who always remains firmly established in Universal thoughtOne who is simple, pure, pious and unsullied like a childWho is above mine and thine, sin and virtueOne who is not appeased or moved, neither by qualities nor by knowledge, beauty nor wealth, devotion nor offerings, neither laws nor procedures, none of these. He is only attracted to truth and is ever eager to merge into…

GET ILLUMINED

  • Post Author:

Tune in to the universal frequency, MEENA OM says … Seek out prakash, the light that illumines, that lets you grow and evolve on the path as seeker. Prakash is the inner power that negates setbacks. By filling yourself with prakash, you live in light. Feel it, the effulgence of the whole universe that is your bliss, as the sufis say. It’s all about balance.  Brahmand, the Supreme, has buddhi, intellect. Brahmand is body and Brahmn is throbbing life. Supreme intelligence creates the universe and it is a moment-to-moment growth going towards perfection. We, too, have consciousness in us, Brahmn. For we are small replicas of the supreme intelligence. We get tuned in to the frequency of our surroundings and the people we deal with. So we need to de-tune ourselves from all this — the externalities — in order to tune in to the universal, supreme intelligence. We should…

HEY MAA LAKSHMI KAR PRAKASH, SAMRUDDHI PREM VRIDDHI KA Hey Maa Lakshmi bestow the light of prosperity, love, and growth As the festival of Deepawali comes close, the forms of Ganesh as a vighnharta, remover of obstacles, and the grandness of Maa Lakshmi manifest in the heart. It also awakens a desire for Deepawali as celebrated many years years ago. Nothing except the statues of Shree Lakshmi and Ganesh were bought from the bazaar. The houses discoloured due to the rains, were white-washed months ahead of the festival. All the members of the household used to clean and beautify the house collectively. On the doors and walls, auspicious symbols of the lotus, satiya, conch, Lakshmi’s feet, etc., were drawn. The seat of the tulsi or holy basil  plant in the verandah used to be decorated beautifully. Kalash or earthen pots in various sizes were painted and decorated with laces and…

Sharad Poornima Significance

  • Post Author:

Krishna performs the Maha Raas on Sharad Poornima, full moon night in the month of Sharad, according to the Hindu lunar calendar. On this day Krishna is said to make gopis – souls of beings -- experience the ecstasy of merging of the Param tattva with the atma, soul. On Sharad Poornima, the moon at its brightest, its whitest and the moonbeams are at their curative best. While the sun gives growth and colour to the plants, the moon showers them with the medicinal qualities. And it also imparts ‘Ras’, juice, nectar to vegetation. In beings, moon imparts spiritual ‘ras’ that induces true joy of life. On Sharad Poornima it is at its maximum. Romanticism and creativity are at their best on this day. All evolved souls mystics, Sufis, poets all have spoken about the meeting of atma and Prabhu. Krishna made humans on this dharti feel the climax of…

Understanding Ganesh ji

  • Post Author:

Worshipping Shri Ganesh with prayer and knowledge is auspicious. Shri Vakratund mahakay suryakoti samprabha, nirvghney kuru mey deva sarvakaryeshu sarvada – with a rounded trunk, gigantic figure which is illuminated by a thousand suns, may all my tasks be accomplished without any problems. In the Indic tradition, any task, be it a new business or a holy ceremony, starts with the worship and igniting of Lord Ganesha. This puja is performed like a ritual. The underlying meaning associated with this practice is very profound. It is, therefore, essential for us to understand this, so that we can explain it to others, especially the younger generation, as it would make them realise and comprehend our culture and its Vedic wisdom in its true perspective. Only when a puja or ritual is performed keeping in mind the philosophy and understanding the hidden messages concealed in the forms of the various deities, devi-devtas,…

Mahasaraswati Mahalakshmi Mahakali

  • Post Author:

Be aware O’ being! Use your intelligence to read and understand the message of time and awaken your sleeping wisdom. You are steeped in so much laziness, so much comfort that you cannot even see the legs of your own bed on fire! There are four yugas, times cycles or ages and each yug has three symbolic reigning divine powers. First, when the yug just begins, Mahasaraswati is predominant. Since the yug is still in its infancy, learning happens, wisdom and knowledge of science are gained for overall progress. Till this time, Lakshmi is not so dominant. Earlier, writers, thinkers, teachers were not deluded by the opulence of Lakshmi. Saraswati is served by way of sadhna or penance. At the time of youth of the yug, Mahalakshmi’s benevolence is showered on this very gyan and dhyan and slowly Lakshmi starts dominating and Saraswati starts to be traded and the yug’s…

Independence Day Message

  • Post Author:

The physical body of Bharat got independence in 1947 yet we are shackled by chains of ignorance, indolence and greed. We barely understand the strength of our own true eternal culture. Now it is time for freedom of the soul. What does it mean? The qualities of the soul are to love all, spread anand -- bliss, always move towards light and spread light. If soul is covered with the darkness of greed and ignorance, then it won’t be free. We should be able to listen to the voice of our soul. For this it is important that the soul becomes swatantra. When the soul becomes free, our power of intuition also increases. The basic instinct to spread joy will also get enhanced.  At the moment our soul is slumbering. It is unable to listen to our intuition and to the conscience. We have to awaken our soul from this…
