THE FORM OF SACCHIDANAND

Human wants to know what the form of Supreme is. It is only the ananda of the enlightened, truthful soul — satt chitt. It can be known through truth alone, and that too, through your own truth. Yes, it can be recognised through certain signs and symptoms, such as:

  • One who always shows the path to be truthful
  • One who always inspires for growth
  • Who is absolute positivity
  • Who points towards poornta, absoluteness
  • Who does not restrict you through any worldly ties or weights
  • One who is firm with a ‘one-point determination’
  • Who always remains firmly established in Universal thought
  • One who is simple, pure, pious and unsullied like a child
  • Who is above mine and thine, sin and virtue
  • One who is not appeased or moved, neither by qualities nor by knowledge, beauty nor wealth, devotion nor offerings, neither laws nor procedures, none of these. He is only attracted to truth and is ever eager to merge into it like mercury.

Sacchidanand can be known by being like him, by merging in him. For this, sadhna of dhyan — deep internal contemplation which leads to absoluteness — is required. If human will continue to live in parts and compartments, how will he ever become poorn, absolute, whole and complete, whereas only poornta, absoluteness, can merge into absoluteness?

By initiating into sincere, true effort of becoming poorn, the karm bandhans or ties of karm start getting amputated. There are five human dharm-karm for this penance:

1st Dharm-karm – to be detached from every worldly matter and being, and not be engrossed in bhog, objects of luxury. Bhog is not denied, doing one’s duty is not denied, but asserting ones claim of usage on these is to be avoided.

2nd Dharm-karm – making an effort to use someone else’s things or status, svatva, making an attempt through any form of cleverness to grab someone else’s wealth or honour, being full of jealousy or resentment, criticising others — all these are mediums of increasing darkness — ignorance. So, whatever is to be attained should be through one’s own genuine endeavour.

3rd Dharm-karm – to do one’s duty and acts selflessly, without any doership; not performing any action that lead to liptata — entanglement or indulgence. To contribute wholly — wealth or in kind, through thoughts, words, truthful deeds – to that which is beneficial for all — society, country, world and the entire Creation.

4th Dharm-karm – experience oneness and believe in only one reign – that of Sarvopari — the ultimate supreme divine. Absolute faith is to know that the divine reign is present everywhere and in everything, to see it everywhere and to act according to it. This sadhna is possible only through constant, consistent contemplation dhyan.

5th Dharm-karm – to taste the nectar of the soul, to maintain the same temperate climate inside and outside, no weights, no opinions, no boredom, no depression, conduct in keeping with thoughts and deeds — no contradictions – simple wisdom, simple conduct.

A knowledgeable person who does not live according to his knowledge can never attain the wisdom of the soul — atmgyan. Whosoever will attain it, will only so do by becoming a truthful blissful soul — sacchidanand swaroop — for which every moment will have to be conducted and lived by being aware of truth, love and karm.
