Contrasts

While watching the amazing BBC documentary ‘The Life Story’ and reconnecting with nature was mesmerizing along with the photography and the anecdotal commentary! Watching evolution through a lens jolted me to ask a question, why the most evolved and intelligent animal–the human being has disassociated from the very simple principles of nature?

Every creature of the animal kingdom emotes and relates to both positive and negative feelings. They go through the cycle of life without worrying about what their fellow creatures will think.  They live in the moment for that moment!  And although they display emotions of love, caring, anger, jealousy and fear yet their reactions surface and ebb in that moment. None of the creatures display ego or consistently live in their past or future.  All are doing their karm without worrying about the outcomes. On failure they either learn their lesson or abandon and move on to the next thing without anxiety or stress.

So what happened to the highest evolutionary creation—us Humans? Why the human mind has turned into a “worst” enemy? Present day Human evolved to a more skilled and intelligent being but forgot the connection with nature and its simple principles of living. Spending so much energy thinking about the consequences of one’s actions rather than experiencing the essence of the present moment. Human has built walls of ego and created diseases due to anxiety and stress.  Children are nurtured to first think of the end results in terms of success and failure but are rarely taught to focus on the present moment and enjoy the action or kriya of doing the karm. Human has mastered the art of finding faults, making excuses and indulging in the blame game, by hiding one’s shortcomings.  Human is always running after material goods and money, equating all this with success. But sadly enough, none of this baggage of material hoardings will transport when one leaves this body.  People are remembered for their values, character and attitude towards life.  And for those who believe in reincarnation only one’s karm (both good and bad) will transport to the next birth….not wealth!

Time is calling to all Humans to break the false slumber, wipe the fog and take the resolve to turn over a new leaf to do justice to human life by making the mind a friend. To experience the joy of being a Human by understanding the true purpose of life, which is knowing and realizing one’s true potential by being in sync with Mother Nature!

beautifully expressed! yes, nature is surprisingly nonchalant and lives perpetually in the moment…..gratitude for this observation.
