Observe thoughts. Be conscious of the thinking pattern because it is that which creates the path for growth or decline. Analyse your opinions and ideas truthfully, then be centred in them because they will attract all the information in the form of media, books, incidents to resurrect themselves.
Suppose you don’t like a person, by being fixed in that pre-conceived notion, carrying this seed within will attract fodder — circumstances, written matter or people of the same opinion to firm up your views.
That is why it is very important to stay open till you are not fully aware of the Truth because if one is settled in incomplete knowledge and notions, they alone will continue to be nourished. That is how even demonic thoughts are born and keep on perpetuating.
Just like the admirers of a famous person will find more and more reasons to become his ardent followers and detractors will find various reasons to be critical of him. Know that this has nothing to do with the karma of the celebrity, it is the seed of the thought within which is ripening, hence things happen to validate that prefixed view. It is a trap in which people get stuck, same thoughts getting reassured repeatedly leaving no scope for liberation openness and expansion.
In the Bhagavad Gita, when Arjun asks Krishn, ‘Why is it that when everyone knows that you are Supreme, they will get mukti — deliverance if they are in your surrender, they don’t take refuge in you?’ Krishn states – ‘Their dharana – aspirations, desires are different. They feel I am a normal human being roaming amongst them. Also, whosoever puts his devotion somewhere else, I resurrect his dhyan and dharana there, because everyone has to reel through karma. The one who puts his dhyan and dharna in me, I bear his karma.”
This does not mean that the Supreme Consciousness takes their karma away, it delineates that, ‘Krishn’ consciousness then directs and helps them to complete their karma cycle with ease peace and grace.
Your world is creation of your thoughts. No one can mould your world from outside. No moment should pass when you are not eliminating something from within, taking something to perfection and creating something anew, because Nature is doing the same. To be in sync with Nature, we have to do this sadhna of creation, perfection and destruction. So, it is up to us whether to stagnate or create a better roadmap for growth.
Have faith in your sankalps — resolutions, Drirh Nishchaya — one-point programme to justify human form. And after establishing the sankalp no need to doubt or question the happenings. If the connection is strong and consistent, then Param Bodhi, Supreme Intelligence will arrange everything to fulfil that resolve. It may be a test or a message to reassure the path. Be in dhyan to derive messages and directives out of it. Absolute surrender and dhyan will impart clarity and guidance.
For this, sadhna, consistent practice is required which is different from tapasya, penance. Tapasya is hectic, done along with severe austerity for a certain period. It is observed for a goal, aim desire for boon or some siddhi, accomplishment. Sadhna is lifelong for refinement that leads to full blossoming of human potential. It is a constant perpetual never ending process, growing along with time and tide, like the mechanism of the Universe and laws of Nature towards transformation and evolution.
