There is a negative current in all which makes them commit stupidities. Be conscious of this dark element. Do conscious effort, sadhna to pull it out.
Thinking of abstaining from the conduct backed by dark element is not plucking it out along with its root from the system. Just observe own-self closely that sometimes one is very generous in feelings thoughts and deeds and at other times observes notices and points out others’ weaknesses faults nasty words and misconducts.
These two are extremely contradictory behaviour and traits. When the negativity in the being surfaces at tender times just have the courage to assert that THIS IS NOT MY TRUE SELF.
By constantly doing so this trait will dissolve. Always be conscious of the inner urge for divine and to be part of Divine work.
When one goes beyond ones’ traits and acquired self, product of EGO, only then human experiences great force tremendous joy and fearless existence.
Human swings between true-self and created self. Becomes miserable for small things and indulges in pettiness and narrow self-interests, ‘self-interestedness.’
One has to be conscious of these contradictions to prevent this. Pray for divine help to bestow wisdom to separate shadow from light and strength to annihilate this dark element whole and complete – poorn.

Inner perfection and purification
O’ Human, no escape from inner war
Constant conflict of dark and light
That binds human to pitiable plight
Depression gloom and aching heart
It has to be conquered to bring down love and light
To eliminate the origins of duality
In the dark element in the being
Hostility towards light is hidden
That constantly tries
To soil the truth bright
Leaving a stain on our
Thoughts words and deeds
Overtakes one to get
Caught in ambiguous cob-webs
Till it is slain with sword of truth
One-pointed insights towards
Divinity and peace
Doesn’t descend.
Purification by personal efforts may take long time, or may not even happen. But with divine grace it becomes rapidly progressive. For this absolute surrender reverence and self-giving is required. Be completely quiet, absolutely free from the ripples of the vast ocean of consciousness concealed in the being. Devoid of all turmoils and dualities, pluck out all the forms of ego of mental and vital for opening of the heart to the mentor — a true friend.
